Housing Needed for Visiting Scholars for 2010

Locals - if you have a 3ft by 6ft square of carpet, and a shower, we could use your help.

In the tradition of collegiate dancing, we offer housing to visiting students.  However, we usually cannot accommodate all of the requests (just 35 more spaces needed last year).  This year we are going for 100%.

Please let us know if you have room for some students in your home for Friday and Saturday night.  They will arrive late Friday night, and leave for for the union at 7AM Saturday.  Some will go home Saturday night, but if they dance late Saturday night, then they will arrive at your home again around midnight, and leave for dance workshops in the morning.

housing@purdueballroom.org

Because of "Thrill the World" - a Guiness record attempt on October 24th to simultaneously dance thriller, we have access to 40 videos on youtube teaching the dance.

We will doing the dance at least once at the Purdue Classic.  So go thrill the world, and then come thrill the Purdue comp.

Congratulations to our friend Artem Chigvintsev,

The show was recently extended through January.

Artem gave us the news with many apologies, because this means we will not be adding him as a sixth judge this year as planned.  We are still looking forward to an awesome competition, and have already heard from over 17 schools.

Consequently, the price of the all-workshop pass will be $5 less (now only $30)
